Well, well I could give you all my excuses even though they are legit I won't bore you with them, other than to say I just got overwhelmed. I started my cross stitching in mid December right in the middle of trying to get three quilts completed for Christmas gifts. I bought the
Q Snap frame and it is sew much easier to deal with than the round hoops. As far as the stitching progress goes, I began with 28 count Aida and found out fairly soon that I was too new at cross stitching to use the smaller count. So, I ordered 14 count and started again. My husband surprised me with the
Beam & Read as one of my Christmas gifts. So, after work I sat on the couch and stitched while he watched tv. Nice light that doesn't bother others around you. I see many of you ladies have done so much and you all are such an inspiration. I still would like to share my progress so far.
Here is my stitching.
I did finish the pinny using Cori's pattern. One of my circles was too small and when I pulled on the thread it became a yo yo so I decided to use it on the front of the pinny and I added a bead to the center.
I love the cute designs so I bought more than one for future tammy bags ;) Check out the cute smiley hands.
I have the outside (except for the cross stitch), complete and the inside is complete too. Put your rose colored glasses on and imagine it all put together. I can't wait....so I guess I need to get stitching.
Thanks so much to
Brooke Nolan for the cross stitch patterns,
Cori Blunt for the Pinny Patterns,
Mary for being our wonderful cheerleader and as alwas,
Madam Samme. I know I will be pleased with my cross stitched Tammy once I am finished but I didn't want to rush and really mess it up.
Check out the other posts today! I am sure they will have some real beauties. COMPLETE beauties!

ReplyDeleteYour fabrics and colors choices will made a beautiful Tammy bag. I've never cross stitched it it seemed to take for every to finish the cross stitching...probably because I was doing too much 'frogging' as Mdm Samm calls unstitching. I am enjoying my new stitching experience. Spring is giving me grief and Winter is scaring me but I will make them too. Happy stitching, Pauline

ReplyDeleteCute clasps. Good work on the cross-stitch. I stick to embroidery because I would be a mess at trying to keep the stitch count in order. Also the reason I can't knit to a pattern. Ha! Tammy 4 all seasons said to say hello. Hello! Notwendy gmail
