Valentine's Day is almost here so I decided to make a table runner. I am envisioning my husband and I having a romantic candlelight dinner at home ;)
I made this up as I went. I used an embroidery design by Alba of Quilting the Thread Art Way called Hearts & Swirls. There are 20 designs on the CD in all formats and the sizes are 8" x 8" and 5" x 5".
All the designs are so pretty it was hard to choose which one. I decided to use two different ones. I made two blocks with the designs centered.
I used Moda fabric Sew & Sew by Chloe's Closet for the middle strip and Robert Kaufman batik Patina Handpaints Scarlet for two side strips. I added sashing and framed in the blocks with Kona Solid Pimento.
Check out this tool. I LOVE it!
I have hopped many times in the past but I now have opened a Quilt & Yarn Shop in Bunn, NC. We have been in business for 18 months. If you are ever in the area come by and visit. You can also check out our online shop www.thebrokeneedle.com We ship everywhere!
